Our plants:

When buying directly from the shop you can be sure that our plants have been acclimated to around 40% humidity and a seasonal room temperature (winter: 12 - 17 °C, summer: 20 - 35 °C)

This means our plants are ready to live out in your home or your setup!

Meet the Scout

Hi! I'm Jazminn, here's a little about me and where The Rare Plant Scout originated.

I have always had an infinity for plants and the natural world. I was lucky enough to grow up on Dartmoor, UK. This very remote place blossomed my love for all things plant! I spent my formative years studying horticulture before moving internationally for work and getting to experience some of the most beautiful naturally rich places on earth.

On coming back to the UK I decided to pursue a lifelong dream of studying Botany. This journey started at the world-renowned Eden Project, UK. Here I had the pleasure of learning and working in their tropical and arid glass houses. From there I was hooked and my love for aroids was born!

I come across so many people asking for plants that seems impossible to find and it can be a scary process finding those plants when it can be hard to build relationships while promoteing sustainable scouring. This is why I created The Rare Plant Scout; I
want to bring your dream plant to you without risking the health and biodiversity of plants in the wild.
